The Unforgettable Friday: A Journey from Book Launch to Unexpected Twists

Friday the 13th or black Friday as it is often called, is this justified or is it a good omen. The Friday 13th October 2023 was one such date being the publication date of my book, coincidently this same date was the opening line of my book. On this publication date as it so happened, I had arranged to play golf in the beautiful Bay of the Foret-Fouesnant on la Rivera Bretonne 2 hours drive away in the South of Brittany. Unfortunately, on arrival at the golf club, my wife Phyllis & I, stopped in the car park, thinking about what we were going to do next I did not realise my engine was not switched off and the vehicle suddenly decided to attack a tree. Not being hurt we were able to proceed with the book presentation to the group of British Expats regrettably the car could not proceed. It is now in the BM garage in Quimper for repair delaying my departure for the better weather in East Algarve Portugal. I would suggest when you read my book that you read the last chapter first this is entitled Nuts & Bolts, this will give you an insight as to the material and documents I had available when writing the manuscript, aided of course by Word and Google. POSTSCRIPT I was lucky enough as a consequence to avoid the unprecedented Hurricane which is unheard of in the Algarve, with winds of up to 120 MPH or more which has caused a substantial amount of damage apparently my property is OK but my neighbour a Norwegian has had that much water on his roof that his house is very wet,
